Wong Kai Xuan – Director & Audio Editor

Kai Xuan is torn between visuals and audio – which is why she took on both the roles of Director and Audio Editor at Motley Films.

As an aspiring filmmaker since she entered the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), she has been involved in several film productions. To her, film provides an adrenaline rush that pushes her to explore her creativity and artistic styles.

During post-production, Kai Xuan adds a personal touch to her films through audio editing – skills acquired from stints at local and overseas radio stations, where she produced numerous jingles, trailers and audio clips.

Jessie Loy – Producer & Photographer

Jessie is one who thrives on multi-tasking and dabbling with various interests.

With a background in advertising and public relations, Jessie ventured into film producing and photography after working with several industry folks while interning at local advertising agency UP Brandbuzz. Through these roles, she expands her exposure to people from all walks of life, writing, and visual aesthetics – all of which she loves.

Lin Wanjing – Editor & Interviewer

Wanjing has always had a keen interest in film and a fascination in how each film is put together to tell a story in the most effective manner.

Upon entering the WKWSCI, she continued to develop her interest in the most direct manner – by taking up editing roles for video productions. She believes editing can be a powerful tool in determining how a film eventually turns out, and enjoys exploring various editing styles that evoke different emotions in the viewer. Wanjing is currently working as a trailer producer at MediaCorp.

Tan Si Keng – Director of Photography

Si Keng was first attracted to the world of documentaries while attending a Scriptwriting module in school. Michael Moore’s films drew his attention to how a documentary can tug at the heartstrings so deeply.

In 2008, Si Keng spent half a year learning the ropes at Mega Media as a camera assistant. He was involved in the production of corporate videos, doubling as a cameraman at times. In addition, he also worked as a soundman for the team, trying his hands on various fields of the trade.
